As 2022 wraps up, we’re daydreaming about the cool things and beautiful views we saw in San Diego throughout the year. These are some of the memories we will carry with us into the new year and beyond. 🌇
- The San Diego Goose mural | Ground Floor Murals’ tribute to the Padres’ lucky rally goose is one for the books.
- Chicano Park | The Barrio Logan landmark is always compelling, but we especially felt its power ahead of the opening of the Chicano Park Museum and Cultural Center.
- Our beaches | Full beach mode, activate.
- “Ted Lasso” billboard | It was hard to miss that huge note Ted Lasso penned to San Diego native Luca de la Torre as he headed to the World Cup.
- Kansas City Barbeque | Hanging at the iconic “Top Gun” bar — catch us at the piano.
- Alex Morgan at Snapdragon Stadium | For the soccer superstar and the San Diego Wave FC, it sure felt good to be home.
- Little Blue Penguins | The tiny seabirds truly captured our hearts.
- Lions, Tigers & Bears | Our visit to the big cat and bear sanctuary in Alpine was incredible — and we got to chat with owner Bobbi Brink about her wild work.
- Us at “Bob’s Burgers” | We found ourselves in a precarious situation at Comic-Con, but we rolled with it.
- Jungle Bells | The holiday event returned to the San Diego Zoo and Santa riding an elephant absolutely sleighed us.
- Jurassic World Exhibition | One word — dinosaurs. The exhibition is on display in Mission Valley through April 2023.
- Spider-Man at the Comic-Con Museum | The debut of “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Beyond Amazing” exhibition had our Spidey senses tingling. It’s on display through Tuesday, Jan. 3.
- Inez Grant Parker Memorial Rose Garden | We stopped and smelled the roses as spring bloomed.
