The Marine Room in La Jolla is known for its eye-level views of the Pacific Ocean, with the waves crashing right up against the glass in the main dining room. This summer, the 82-year-old restaurant is bringing back its “High Tide Dinners” so you can experience the high surf up close.

The special events begin this Saturday, June 3, and run on select dates through late August. Pro tip: we hear these dinners are particularly epic during a full moon, so try going this Saturday, or July 3, Aug. 1, and Aug. 30.

Patrons can reserve their spots during two seating windows: 4:30-5:45 p.m. with the regular menu, or 7:30-9 p.m. with a 4-course, prix fixe menu. For a more casual experience, try cocktails and small plates at the brand-new lounge.

Can’t make those dates? Catch the surf and sunsets via the restaurant’s 24/7 webcam.
