It was pouring in San Diego Saturday night as the Padres faced the Dodgers in Game 4 of the National League Division Series. So much so, there was a rain delay at Petco Park.
But — rare rain or shine — it was the Padres’ time to shine. ✨
With a packed house chanting “BEAT LA” and an epic rally in the 7th inning that’ll go down in Friar Faithful history, San Diego did just that — beat LA, 5-3 — to become NLDS Champions. And dang, that feels good to witness, say + write.
The Padres are now bound for the National League Championship Series (NLCS) against the Phillies; the first game is Tues., Oct. 18, at Petco Park. This will mark the first NLCS game for San Diego since 1998. The winner of the NLCS goes on to play in the World Series. ⚾
Here’s to more electric energy from the Pads this week — and a little luck from the goose. Let’s go, San Diego. 📣
