This store is for the history books. Here, you can buy and sell recent titles, but it’s also a treasure trove for collectors — you’ll find rare, vintage, and first-edition titles for sale.
Once upon a time, this book exchange was named Elaine’s Book Mark, but the store started a new chapter when Helen — a former customer — became the owner. Today, much of the story remains the same. Customers can bring in books (mostly paperbacks) and swap them for credits to buy different ones.
Let’s make it a trilogy. If there are more used bookstores we missed, let us know.

Cheers to Drink Up Month. It’s been a great time, but as July comes to a close, we’re refilling our cup by looking back at our bevy of recent beverage stories.
Happy Monday, San Diego. Can you believe July is almost over? This is always a busy month in the city with all of the fireworks, Pride, and Comic-Con.
Looking ahead, August is a great month for San Diego sports. We have Padres games all month in addition to Wave FC and San Diego Loyal matches. Plus, football season kicks off — the SDSU Aztecs play their first game against Ohio State on Saturday, Aug. 26, at Snapdragon Stadium.
