A new, 1,800-sqft Jewish delicatessen has laid roots in Torrey Pines — Gold Finch — located at 3040 Science Park Rd., at the Muse life-science campus.

The full-service eatery brings a modern spin to the traditional Jewish deli, with its menus rooted immigrant culture and Ashkenazi + Sephardic -style cooking. You can find everything from bakery staples like bagels, bialy, and knish to sandwiches, salads, and sides. 🥪

The pastries are a focal point of the menu, that’s for sure.

Gold Finch is owned by restaurateur Tracy Borkum of Urban Kitchen Group — the name behind local hot spots like CUCINA urbana in Bankers Hill, CUCINA enoteca in Del Mar, and Artifact at the Mingei in Balboa Park.

“This has been a long-awaited passion project, and I’m excited to share our interpretation of what a modern delicatessen in a great city can be,” Borkum said.

The restaurant is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., for breakfast + lunch — and we hear weekend brunch is coming soon. 🍳
