In the best way possible, this festival is going to the dogs.

Coachella may be over (thanks for closing it out strong , blink-182), but it’s still festival season, y’all.

Second Chance Beer Co. — featured in our dog-friendly San Diego guide — shared details with SDtoday of its Pupapalooza Dog Festival set for Saturday, May 20, 2-6 p.m. at its Carmel Mountain taproom.

The event will highlight 20+ locally-owned, dog-centric vendors and adoptable pooches from The Animal Pad . Oh, and tongues are wagging because the brewery will release a special beer for the party — Guava Wheat Ale.

Although entry is free, VIP experiences start at $125 and proceeds benefit The Animal Pad.

If you can’t make it to the festival, grab a pint another time: The brewery donates 1% of its sales of Buddy Lager and New Day West Coast IPA to animal rescue organizations as part of its ongoing “seize a pint, save a pup” pledge. Now, that’s a good brewery.
