San Diego International Airport opened ~2,400 additional parking spaces as part of the New T1’s Terminal 1 Parking Plaza, which now offers 5,200+ spaces. Hotel del Coronado’s six-year, $550 million renovation is officially complete. The Del unveiled upgrades yesterday to its historic Victorian building, garden courtyard, event spaces, and new restaurants. The landmark’s makeover is designed to keep the historic 1888 property “at the top of its game for another 100 years.”

The Marine Room’s famous High Tide Dinners return this summer, with the first round Monday, June 23-Wednesday, June 25. Patrons will watch the waves crash against the restaurant’s windows as they eat. City Tacos will close its East Village location adjacent to Petco Park on Monday, June 30. The San Diego Padres are taking over the leased spot to add offices and restaurant + entertainment spaces for games and ballpark events. Downtown Skate — the outdoor roller rink that debuted last year at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina — will return for a summertime run Friday, June 27-Wednesday, July 9. Cause
Feeding San Diego launched ~30 summer meal + food distribution sites to support local kids and families facing food insecurity this season. The nonprofit says $1 can provide up to two meals to locals in need — donations are always welcome.
