San Diego unveiled the first of ~50 interactive kiosks that will be installed downtown over the next two years. The digital kiosks are designed to help locals + visitors find their way while also advertising local businesses, city resources, and transit options. The branding opportunities could yield $15 million for the city.

City Council approved a plan to develop a 2.67-acre site behind the Clairemont Village Shopping Center in Bay Park into a 224-unit apartment complex. The five-story building will include ~23 affordable housing units and a parking garage. The complex should be open + accepting renters in about two years. (CBS 8)

The long-standing Fish Market on San Diego Bay and its Solana Beach location are poised to be sold to the Brigantine restaurant group, pending approval from the Port of San Diego around January 2025. Technology has gotten truly egg-cellent. Broken Yolk Cafe in PB is using a high-tech robot team member to bring food to patrons and bus tables. The Servi-Plus — dubbed “Speedy” by staffers — is mapped with the restaurant’s layout and may help in other Broken Yolk locations in the future. (CBS 8)

The annual Toys for Tots drive is underway, collecting new, unwrapped toys to distribute to local kids.
