    • Water rates are rising — starting Friday, Dec. 1, the City of San Diego will see costs increase by 5%. This is the first of three price hikes approved by City Council that will increase water rates by ~20% over the next two years. (CBS 8)

    • The city will close the Ocean Beach Pier for storm season, expecting to reopen it in early 2024. During the closure, the city will move forward with efforts to replace or rehabilitate the pier, and plans to share a preferred design next year.
