Thanksgiving is Thursday, Nov. 23, but you don’t have to whip yourself into a tizzy making this year’s feast. Some of San Diego’s top restaurants are spreading the love, offering mouthwatering holiday meals — dine-in and takeout. Now, that’s something to be thankful for.

Here are wonderful ways to gobble — gracefully, of course — on Turkey Day.

🍗 Dine-In

Animae, 969 Pacific Highway

Executive Chef Tara Monsod will prepare a prix fixe, 4-course Thanksgiving dinner inspired by her Filipino-American heritage and featuring dishes from across Asia. We spy Ube Pan De Sal, Mussel Ginataan, and a Red Bean Tart. Dinner will be served from 3 to 8 p.m.; make reservations.

SD La Valencia Hotel La Jolla

Thanksgiving at “The Pink Lady,” anyone?

La Valencia, 1132 Prospect St.

“The Pink Lady” hotel perched above La Jolla Cove will serve a 3-course, prix fixe holiday menu in its Mediterranean Room with highlights like Orange Blossom Poached Lobster Tail, Agave Cinderella Pumpkin Bisque, and pumpkin pie. Reserve your spot.

SD Vistal InterContinental San Diego

Vistal — and its epic vistas — is sitting pretty at InterContinental San Diego.

Vistal Bar + Restaurant, 901 Bayfront Court, Ste. 1

The InterContinental San Diego’s restaurant will offer a Thanksgiving buffet, 2-7 p.m., featuring classic dishes with a twist, like Whole Roasted Turkey with Rosemary-Fennel Sausage Focaccia Stuffing, Sweet Potato Casserole Croquettes, and Pecan Walnut Caramel Pie. Reserve your spot.

🥧 Takeout

Herb & Wood, 2210 Kettner Blvd.

Chef Brian Malarkey’s Little Italy hot spot will offer its Thanksgiving Takeout feast that can feed up to eight people complete with a 17-pound Truffle-Rubbed Turkey, Whipped Potatoes, Parker House Rolls, and pie. Order ahead for pickup on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Morena Provisions, 1122 Morena Blvd.

Thanksgiving To-Go options include à la carte items like Artisan Quiche and Diestel Family Ranch Turkey Roulade + Braised Leg Meat. Orders must be placed by Friday, Nov. 17, for pickup or delivery on Wednesday, Nov. 22, 1-4 p.m.

Happy Friday, friends. November is Veterans Month at the San Diego Automotive Museum in Balboa Park, and the museum is offering free admission for all US military veterans and up to four family members — with a valid veteran ID.

If you visit, don’t miss “Salute to San Diego’s Troops,” an exhibit featuring a pair of Willys “Jeeps” — one of which service members are invited to sign. Just ask for a pen and instructions at admissions.
