That’s just what we’ve done. Say hello to SDtoday’s City Guide, your ultimate digital destination for the best ways to get out there and learn about the city you love.

We’ve broken the guides into three categories:

  • WORK — Top industries, startups, and great spots to work outside
  • PLAY — Parks, festivals, hikes, and date nights
That just scratches the surface. We’ve got guides to local Airbnb and Vrbo rentals, navigating the airport, volunteer opportunities around town, and even where you and your pooch can grab a drink together.

TikTok’s hottest chicken is coming to San Diego. LA-based brand The Red Chickz is opening a red-hot restaurant at The Shoppes at Carlsbad later this summer.

If you want to know why everyone is clucking about this hot chicken, you can check out its TikTok where it’s amassed 1.2 million followers. The brand and its fans claim its Nashville-style hot chicken is the “crunchiest,” and you can choose your heat level ranging from mild to “insane.”

Plus, you can spice up your order with offerings that go beyond chicken tenders. The menu features options like spicy jumbo shrimp, a french toast chicken sandwich, and a spicy chicken taco.

From the editor
Good morning, San Diego. I like to start off my week with a coffee recommendation, and I recently tried Adore Coffee House in downtown’s Cortez Hill neighborhood. Not only were the drinks delicious, but they were super colorful. My vanilla latte was blue, and the Ukrainian-owned business has a special blue and yellow “Brave Latte” that supports families in Ukraine.
