The drive-in a summertime staple, that’s for sure. | Photo via Monica Garske + SDtoday
Pass the popcorn, please. Nothing screams “summer” like watching a movie under the stars at the drive-in. You’ve got a couple of options in San Diego County:
So, actor and musician John Stamos is joining The Beach Boys for their concert at The Rady Shell this Saturday, and I’ve gotta say, I’m a tad jealous. I saw The Beach Boys at the waterfront venue last summer, and while the show had major “Good Vibrations,” Stamos did not make a cameo.
I can’t be too salty though — the actor has been making his rounds with the band for decades, and he did make a surprise appearance on stage when I saw The Beach Boys at Humphreys by the bay several years ago. I’ve never belted “Kokomo” louder, and I felt no shame.
