8 scary attractions to visit in San Diego this Halloween

Sinister Trails SD

Now entering: Sinister Trails

Scary news coming out of EncinitasSinister Trails is now open through Halloween.

The new, haunted maze isn’t clowning around when it comes to horror. You might see the circus performers during your trip, but these ones will have you screaming — not laughing. And that’s not the only company you’ll be trying to avoid. You might also encounter zombies and a creepy cult along the way.

If you make it out alive + want more seasonal fun, the Groovy Palooza festival is coming on Sat., Oct. 22, with performances by Sensi Trails, Band of Gringos, Kaipora + Hunthux. And yes, tickets include access to the Sinister Trail, so you can revisit the terror.

THE WRAP

Today’s issue was written by Michael.

Editor’s pick: Good morning, San Diego. I believe every community has its own superlatives, but in my opinion, North Park gets the award for best mural tour. I recently took a trip there, and found artwork depicting subjects from local landmarks to pop culture referencesand cats. There seems to be a lot of paintings of felines for some reason. 🐈‍⬛
