The tide is turning at The Marine Room in La Jolla β with big changes on the horizon for the iconic oceanfront restaurant on Spindrift Drive. π
The 81-year-old landmark business β known for its eye-level location right on the surf and dramatic, high tide dinners with the waves hitting right up against the windows β will temporarily close Sun., Sept. 11-Fri., Sept. 30, for a bit of a makeover .
You see, a new lounge concept + interior upgrades are underway, set to be unveiled in early October. A rep tells SDtoday that guests can expect an βenhanced ambiance and a new era to drink, eat, and take in the views.β π
The new addition will offer bottle service, chef-driven cocktails, an expanded wine + bubbles list, and seafood-centric small plates. π₯
