Something cool is brewing in Bay Park: The Gärten — a dining, drinking + gathering spot set to officially open on Sat., Oct. 8. 🍻

The European-style biergarten is a collaboration between four local vendors:

There’s lots of communal seating at this new, buzzy outdoor drink + food hub.

The 2,500-sqft outdoor space at 5322 Banks St. is co-licensed by Deft Brewing + Lost Cause Meadery and is located at the existing headquarters of both small businesses. 🤝

The Gärten — which features plenty of communal seating — offers artisan pizza + beverages like craft beer, locally-made mead, and sparkling wines. Local art, live music, comedy, and entertainment will fill the space 150+ nights out of the year. 🎶

“It’s exciting to finally have such a cool outdoor venue shared by all four neighboring businesses, and we hope our fellow San Diegans will enjoy gathering at The Gärten as much as we do,” said Billy Beltz, co-owner of Lost Cause Meadery.

Deft Brewing is open daily; Lost Cause Meadery + Pizza Cassette are open Wednesday-Sunday. ⏰
