Karl Strauss Brewing Company has tapped into its newest concept: Karl Strauss Outpost , an 85,000-sqft beer garden now open at 1293 Armorlite Dr. in San Marcos.
This is the locally founded brand’s fifth location in San Diego County. Given SD’s stellar weather, the family-friendly, outdoor space features various seating options, umbrellas, fire pits, and lawn games.
We’re hoppy to see this new beer garden.

While the new spot serves familiar drinks, it also introduces the first-ever Karl Strauss Food Truck helmed by Executive Chef Gunther Emathinger. It serves dishes like street tacos and “Nachitos” — nachos smothered in jalapeño beer cheese and topped with meat.
Both “The Outpost” and food truck are open Wednesday-Sunday, hours vary
by day.
