San Diego Beer Week — the San Diego Brewers Guild’s (SDBG) annual celebration of SD’s brewing scene — returns this Friday, Nov. 3, with a virtual toast, but this year’s edition hits a little different.
It won’t feature Guild Fest — its marquee opening event — because the fest has been postponed to Feb. 4, 2024. According to SDBG Executive Director Erik Fowler, the organization is experiencing a “transition year” with limited resources, so more planning time is needed.
Instead, Beer Week 2023 will take it back to the basics, with events and specials at craft breweries, like the Capital of Craft release party at Modern Times this Friday, Nov. 3.
Also on tap: The “Guild on the Streets” happy hour series across tap rooms like Pure Project in North Park, AleTales in East Village, and 3 Punk Ales in Chula Vista, where beer enthusiasts will gather to talk suds.
