The tradition continues in Ocean Beach.

Ocean Beach is ready for Christmas — in true quirky OB fashion, of course. The community’s famed, slightly crooked, annual Christmas tree has risen on the beach, right where Newport Avenue meets the sand.

Standing at ~40 ft, this star pine may be the smallest tree OB Town Council has ever put up, and it appears much straighter than prior ones. But, it does have a little bend to it, continuing the community’s tradition of having a fun, eclectic tree.

Like prior trees, this one is also rooted in community. It was moved from a local home — where it was planted 27 years ago — installed at the shoreline, and decorated as a Christmas tree.

The tree has been transplanted just in time for the OB Holiday Parade , which is going down this Saturday, Dec. 2, 5 p.m.
