This weekend, the Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar Air Show is soaring back for the first time in three years with the theme, “Marines: Fight, Evolve, Win.”

With its return, we continue to celebrate Miramar’s history with the US Marine Corps. The area is home to many aircraft, helps train Navy pilots (hello, Top Gun”), and hosts the world’s largest military air show.

Feel the need — the need for details? The show takes place at MCAS Miramar from Fri., Sept. 23-Sun., Sept. 25. The schedule runs from 8 a.m.-4:13 p.m., and will feature high-flying fun, like the Marine Corps’ F-35B demonstration, the Red Bull Helicopter + the US Air Force’s F-22 Raptor demonstration team.

Some tips, so you can get in on the action:

  • Entry is free, seated areas are ticketed with limited capacities.
  • Get there early to find parking + there are shuttles from all lots.
  • Bring sun protection + earplugs.
  • Brush up on entry policies before arriving.
