In the wake of the devastating fires in Maui, local organizations and businesses are coming together to help victims. Here are some of the ways you can support relief efforts.
- Rawmana Fitness is hosting the San Diego Benefit Concert for Lahaina on Sunday, Aug. 20, 1-5 p.m. There will be music, food, and merch vendors; monetary donations are greatly appreciated.
- Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern will donate a portion of every Mai Tai sold to Maui relief organizations.
- Cohn Restaurant Group has two restaurants in Maui and is helping to feed people impacted by the fires. It’s accepting donations.
- The San Diego Humane Society’s emergency team is in Maui. The organization is asking for donations to help fund the nonprofit and its relief assistance.
- Locally-based MMA fighter Ilima-Lei Macfarlane’s supply drives were very successful, but materials can no longer be accepted. Monetary donations are still needed.
