In 2022, San Diego is getting ready to go back in time. Jurassic Quest is coming to Del Mar Fairgrounds, bringing prehistoric fun for the whole family.
Planning on taking the quest? The event will only be here for one weekend from Fri., Jan. 21-Sun., Jan. 23, and there’s a lot to uncover.

For starters, you’ll be able to observe animatronic replicas of 100+ dinosaur species — all scaled to their actual size. You can find your favorite, whether it’s a pterodactyl or the famous T-Rex. Trainers will also be around to answer questions and introduce you to baby dinosaurs that are more cute than scary.
Beyond the visuals, the quest offers rides and activities to immerse you in the fun. Young explorers will be able to jump on inflatables, get a dino-themed tattoo, and participate in the fun with craft + science stations. Trainers will be leading shows, including one reserved for the baby dinos.

Not only will you learn about prehistoric dinosaurs, you’ll learn how we can still see their legacy in today’s animals. There’s even an underwater exhibit where you can see the similarities between dinosaurs and modern ocean animals. Jurassic Quest will get you caught up on all the details we’d need if Jurassic Park became a reality.
We’re eager to explore, and tickets tend to sell fast, so you may want to grab yours now. Be aware this is a “mega-event,” so familiarize yourself with the listed health protocols so you can attend safely.
