The traveling Malibu Barbie Cafe has rolled into San Diego, setting up shop at 2137 Pacific Hwy. in downtown’s Embarcadero through Sunday, Oct. 12.

We checked out the pop-up experience hosted by Bucket Listers and Mattel, Inc. — here’s what you need to know before you go. Come on Barbie, let’s go party:

  • The cafe has taken over Bayside Kitchen + Bar at the Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Downtown/Bayside hotel — you can’t miss the cute pink signs. It’s open Wednesday-Sunday, but times vary.
  • For a fee, you can valet park at the hotel. You could also find nearby parking via Spot Hero.
  • Inside, the Barbiecore vibes are real. Think: Pink decor, 1970s Malibu Barbie beach motifs, cute photo opportunities including a life-size, walk-in Barbie Box, and a huge boombox.

  • Outside, it’s a beach party. Take pics on the swing and lifeguard chair and roll over to the skating rink. Skating costs $1, and all proceeds go to the nonprofit, Girls Inc. Pro tip: Sign the skating waiver before hitting up the skate stand.
  • As if that wasn’t Kenough — check out the themed menu curated by “Chopped” champion and “Master Chef” finalist Chef Becky Brown, which features fast-casual bites like burgers and desserts.
  • The drink menu features themed cocktails like the Beach Mojito and Think Pink Margarita.

  • There’s a tiny shop near the entrance featuring exclusive cafe merch like T-Shirts, hats, and, of course, Barbie dolls.
  • Tickets start at $25 and include a 90-minute seating, $10 food credit, and $5 merch credit.
  • Pro tip: It’s OK to wear flats.

This, this is what we were made for — see you there, San Diego.
