24 San Diego concerts we’re excited to see in 2024

These shows prove that San Diego is a great city for live music, and they’re just a sample of the shows coming this year.

San Diego’s concert scene was a 10 out of 10 in 2023 — but in 2024 we’re going to crank it to 11. To get pumped up, we’ve rounded up 24 shows we’re amped to see this year.

February

  • Jenny Lewis | Feb. 27 | House of Blues San Diego | “The Voyager” brings her “Joy’All Ball” to the downtown venue.

March

  • Chris Stapleton | March 2 | Petco Park | The “Tennessee Whiskey” country star performs with guests Elle King and Turnpike Troubadours.
  • Grace Potter | March 16 | The Sound | The Vermont-based “Wild Child” heads to the Del Mar venue.
  • Busta Rhymes | March 17 | SOMA | We’re in luck, the rap legend will come to the Midway District venue on St. Patrick’s Day.
  • Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band | March 25 | Pechanga Arena | The Boss’ “Glory Days” aren’t over yet, he’s coming back to SD; this is a rescheduled show from 2023.

April

  • Billy Joel + Sting | April 13 | Petco Park | Somebody call The Police, the icon is taking over the ballpark with the legendary “Piano Man.”
  • Willie Nelson & Family | April 22 | The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park | The country legend is “On the Road Again” and heading to the bayfront venue with guests Asleep at the Wheel.
  • PinkPantheress | April 28 | The Observatory North Park | The up-and-coming UK pop star, known for her hit “Boy’s a liar, Pt. 2" performs her “Capable of love Tour.”

  • Janet Jackson | June 6 | North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre | The pop icon will ride wit rapper Nelly to Chula Vista for the “Together Again 2024" tour.
  • Noah Kahan | June 18 | North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre | The up-and-coming singer-songwriter may “love Vermont,” but wait until he gets to Chula Vista for the “We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour.”
  • Third Eye Blind | June 21 | North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre | “How’s It Gonna Be?” We’re thinking epic — the rockers are joined by Yellowcard and A R I Z O N A on the “Summer Gods Tour 2024.”
  • Kool & The Gang | June 21 | The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park | The venue will shell-ebrate good times — come on.
  • blink-182 | June 30 | Petco Park | When the Poway-formed band returns home, it’s no small thing — the trio is taking over the county’s largest venue.

July

  • New Kids On The Block with Paula Abdul + DJ Jazzy Jeff | July 7 | North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre | “Straight Up,” this “Summertime” throwback show will bring “The Right Stuff” to Chula Vista.
  • Niall Horan | July 30 | North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre | Don’t let your “Slow Hands” miss the opportunity to grab tickets to see this former One Direction member — and judge on “The Voice.”

  • Foo Fighters | Aug. 7 | Petco Park | We’ve been waiting “Everlong” for this band to perform live, and this summer, they’re coming to town with The Hive and Alex G.
  • O.A.R. + Fitz and the Tantrums | Aug. 9 | Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre | The two bands share the stage for a show filled with “Love and Memories.”
  • Jason Mraz + The Superband | Aug. 11 | The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park | The Oceanside resident and “I’m Yours” singer performs with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and conductor Sean O’Loughlin.
  • Lainey Wilson | Aug. 23 | North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre | The singer and songwriter proves “Country’s Cool Again” with her tour featuring Jackson Dean and Zach Top.
  • Def Leppard and Journey with Steve Miller Band | Aug. 30 | Petco Park | We never stopped believing in San Diego’s live music scene, and now, we have three music legends performing at one show.

  • P!nk | Sept. 11 | Petco Park | Last summer, P!nk’s “Summer Carnival 2023" soared over Snapdragon Stadium, but this year, the “Summer Carnival 2024" takes over the ballpark and the pop star soaks up the sun with Sheryl Crowe, The Script, and KidCutUp.
  • Peso Pluma| Sept. 17 | Pechanga Arena | The Latin music star blends regional Mexican music and modern sounds at “The Exodo Tour.”
  • Green Day | Sept. 30 | Petco Park | Grab tickets, or say “Good Riddance” to the chance to see this rock trio perform with The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, and The Linda Lindas.

October

  • Iron Maiden |Oct. 4 | North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre | You won’t need to “Run to the Hills” to see “The Future Past World Tour 2024,” just head to the Chula Vista venue.
