Happy New Year, San Diego. We’re gearing up for an eventful 2022, with the return of many events unique to America’s Finest City. So bust out the calendar + pencil this in.

⛳ Farmers Insurance Open | Wed., Jan. 26-Sat.,Jan. 29 | Torrey Pines Golf Course
The prestigious PGA Tour competition returns to the coastal course in La Jolla (seriously, those views). New this year: the tournament’s first-ever Saturday prime-time finish (instead of Sunday). Several ticket options are available — depending on who you’re going with + what you want to eat and drink when you get to the green. We know this Torrey tourney is not just about golf — the mingling is on par, too.

⚾ San Diego Padres: Home Opener | Thurs., March 31 | Petco Park in downtown San Diego
El Niño, Manny Machado + the whole Friars crew are set to take on NL West rival the San Francisco Giants at the 2022 home opener. The teams play each other in a 4-part series opening weekend.

🍜 San Diego Restaurant Week | Sun., April 3-Sun., April 10 | Across SD
The first round of San Diego Restaurant Week usually goes down in January, but the food-centric, semi-annual event is mixing it up in 2022. Foodies can expect SDRW to take the spotlight in the spring, with 160+ local eateries offering prix-fixe, multi-course menus. It’s the perfect time to try that new spot you’ve had your eye on.

🎡 San Diego County Fair | Wed., June 8-Mon., July 4 | Del Mar Fairgrounds
Billed as one of the 10 largest fairs in the U.S., this event’s 2022 theme is “Heroes REunite!” The fair was scaled back in 2021 due to the pandemic, so we’re keeping close watch to see how this year’s version will shape up.
